Zarakh Iliev was born on September 8, 1966 in the village of Krasnaya Sloboda, Azerbaijan, to the large family of Binsion and Sibo Iliev. He gained his first entrepreneur experience at home by producing and trading soft goods.

1998–2004 Zarakh Iliev has always been directly involved in the design and construction of Kievskaya Ploshchad projects. He supervised the construction work of the Elektronnyy Ray and Panorama shopping centers, as well as the Moskva Automobile trade center, and after acquisition of the Grand furniture mall he oversaw its renovation.
2005 After Kievskaya Ploshchad bought Hotel Ukraina, they restored it and reopened under the Radisson brand in 2010 (since 2019 - Radisson Collection Hotel, Moscow). Together with his partner, Zarakh Iliev invested his own funds in the restoration of a unique collection of Soviet-era paintings created for Ukraina. Thus, all masterpieces and historical appearance of the hotel interiors are preserved and restored.
2006 Another landmark project is the Evropeisky shopping center, opened in 2006. The chief difference from the competitors is advanced construction and design technologies. Evropeisky is one of the most popular shopping centers in the world in terms of attendance, only Dubai Mall is superior to it.

Zarakh Iliev managed the project launch and execution of year-round passenger navigation on the Moscow River - the Radisson Royal Flotilla. He was involved in the cruise ship design and construction, what resulted in building unique yachts. Every day and all year round the yachts present excursion and entertainment cruises along the Moscow River, regardless of weather conditions.


Kievskaya Ploshchad acquires the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel and Business Center Moscow, and opened the Vorobyevsky business center after a large-scale renovation.


Kievskaya Ploshchad opened a specialized agrocluster “Food City”, the largest wholesale and retail food center in Russia. It provides Moscow region with fresh and natural products directly from suppliers.


In 2016, the company began construction of a hotel complex on Varvarka Street in Moscow. Diligence in the maintenance of city heritage helped the company to develop the design according to the restored archival drawings of pre-revolutionary apartment buildings.

Painstaking work on the project has been ongoing for three years and is nearing completion.

Now there will be a modern hotel offering every amenity of a worldclass hotel in the historical center.


Kievskaya Ploshchad opened a gastronomic center in the Zaryadye park next to Kremlin, offering visitors the most typical dishes of Russian cuisine. The company also owns the Voskhod, a restaurant of the former Soviet republics' cuisine, located in the park.

Currently, Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies is focused on the development of several grassroots projects and is a trendsetter in such projects as creation of the communicative spaces (Gastro quarter Depo), the design and construction of transport hubs by the principle of «dry legs» (Nagatinskaya interchange transportation hub) and many others.


Kievskaya Ploshchad carried out restoration of the old infrastructure facility of Moscow -  Miussky Tram Depot. In 2019, the Europe's biggest gastronomic quarter Depo Lesnaya was opened there.

Among the priority projects is expansion of the Food City project. The company plans to replicate the success and open Food City-2 on the territory of the Levyi bereg shopping center, acquired in 2018.


Kievskaya Ploshchad is also involved in the construction of new transport hubs to improve passenger mobility in Moscow. In 2015, the company opened the Yuzhnye Vorota bus station. The implementation of such socially significant project allowed business partners to gain the necessary experience for the construction and renovation of other transportation facilities. Since 2017, the company has been conducting a large-scale reconstruction of the Shchelkovskyi bus station.  In 2019, the company gained control over Nagatinskaya interchange transportation hub. After renovation, the renovated premises will become modern multifunctional centers comprising the retail space, restaurants, cinemas and other related infrastructure.


The Central Market on Rozhdestvensky Boulevard has become a part of Kiyevskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies. This is a shopping gallery where a food-court, food stands, and restaurants have been united in a modern fine-dining project.

This year Kiyevskaya Ploshchad has started the implementation of a large-scale project for replication of the FOOD CITY format on the territory of the Four Seasons wholesale food complex in Domodedovo, acquired in a public auction. The territory will become the first site to implement a digital platform with an electronic exchange in collaboration with Sber.

Kiyevskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies and the leading international hotel operator Accor have signed an agreement to open the first Raffles Hotel in Moscow in the hotel complex, which is being built on Varvarka. 


Kiyevskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies opened a Pavilion on Patriarch’s Ponds having preserved its appearance and functionality. A new restaurant project of the holding had been implemented together with the Rappoport Restaurants.
